![]() So, about a week and a half ago I posted this thread about issues opening a blu-ray disc. 11 product ratings - POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE COMPLETE SERIES New 5 DVD Power Rangers Season 8. 1 of the things I mentioned is that I was running v 1.17.2 of MakeMKV so I decided to run the 1.17.3 installer to see if it would resolve that issue. POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE COMPLETE SERIES New 5 DVD Power Rangers Season 8. it did not resolve that issue and in fact every disc (both DVD and blu-ray) I've tried ripping since then has failed to save titles and it turns out that it's due to the subtitle cc -> lossy conversion option. ![]() Only after I started to manually uncheck that subtitle then the titles started to save correctly. anybody else noticing this with the new version? now i'm wondering if that blu-ray I was having issues with will work if I unselect the lossy conversion subtitles. It looks like the disc also includes a chapter-less version of the video file, which is the last title in the list, so if you want the video without chapters, pick that one. another troubleshooting step I took for that issue was rebooting the PC and after I did that the disc did in fact open, but it still failed to save the movie, so I'm wondering if de-selecting lossy subtitle will work. So, in short, it's probably going to be the second title in the list: 16 chapters, 74.6 GB (angle 1). Ya, the M2TS format was the initial way that people got it working and then there was the demux from the M2TS to extract the contents and then to put it all into a mp4 which took a bit more effort to do the conversion that also worked. Is there any way to have the "subtitle cc -> lossy conversion" entry unchecked for every title by default? I just picked up 3 seasons of a TV series at Goodwill and having to manually uncheck that from each episode is gonna be a pain in the have a large Hong Kong 1980s-90s film collection on mostly blurays and some dvd that I am in the process of ripping the MKV files (MakeMKV) and the mp4 (Handbrake) and saving the movies onto my Sandisk Extreme Pro 4TB external SSD, but I am running into this issue where after I have saved the files, I will take a look a few days later and notice that the movie files are gone without a trace even though I saw them there and opened them just previously. After this season and onwards, every season would be more self-contained and not be a direct continuation from the previous one with the only connection being a Cross-over episode with the previous seasons Rangers. This was all because the mkv container just didn't support it so it was great that it was worked out that DV would be officially incorporated into the container which is great rather than it being some unofficial hack or something. Right now it's just growing pains because it's so new and it hasn't trickled down to everything but I fully expect that down the road, mkv will be the primary way people store DV content. So for me personally, I'm just ripping things into a mkv knowing that at some point, it will just all work without having to figure out what's the right hardware and software combination that will play it back. I'm just more relieved than anything, because some people felt that it might not be possible to do, or there would be issues with how it's done. But it seems like with everything else, formats will be cracked/broken eventually so it was only a matter of time. I'm just glad that it's possible and one day it'll be common.Ĭlick to shrink.I just have to laugh, the sheer amount of variables between Plex, the client chosen, and all the codec/container combos is bananas. I think the Shield is that device (unofficially) but I just don't get how there isn't a "partnered" Plex client device. I serve up to 11 users on mine and it's crazy keeping track of what everyone uses.
